From the stage of “America’s Got Talent” to our very own GCC, Matt Wilhelm brought an electrifying, edge of your seat experience to our students while delivering such an important message about Bullying Prevention. Not only does Matt deliver on his award-winning tricks but he shares his story about how one small act of kindness towards one another can really make a difference in the lives of our peers around us.

As a child Wilhelm was bullied and if it wasn’t for one small moment where someone had the courage to stand up for him, he might not have become such a decorated champion. It’s a story of resilience and empowerment like no other and our students here at Gonzalez truly took it all in! It was a mix of entertainment and a powerful message all-in-one!

It’s instilling a belief that no matter what, YOU can be whatever you dream of being and how you never give up despite the challenges you may face. A strong reminder not only for our students but for us all in attendance.

Matt is currently ranked #1 BMX Flatland rider in the United States and won the 2022 USA National Championship. Matt, thank you for coming out and sharing your story with us, it truly was an honor to have you!
